12/14/98 - I just created this web page, and I am just getting to know how to do stuff. Most of this site is under construction. The majority of this site will be dedicated to my Accord, and some to my beautiful fiance, Amanda, and her Civic. There will probably not be very much on the Civic, since it is an automatic. Sorry, I have no pics yet. Come back soon.

12/30/98 - I added a how to in the garage. Do you want clear front turn signals for dirt cheap? I need to get pics!!!

1/4/99 - I finally painted my rear turn signals. It looks great!!! I should get some pictures some time soon, hopefully. I have had the paint for months, I just had the time today. I have also added a huge number of links.

1/11/99 - Visit my new tips page in the garage, it is large and will get bigger. It will get bigger if you tell me your tips. I will add them if you email me. I have added a new background, tell me if you like it. I have put some new pictures on the home page, better pictures I pulled off the net. I have ordered some nice fog lamps and a Weapon R breather filter from Nopi today. Hopefully I can get some pictures before I install them. Most all of this site has been changed today, for the better.

Tonight I totally cut up and filed down my OEM front bumper grill. Now it is all open, w/o the two plastic pieces across the middle. I have had the idea for a long time but I guess I just go the guts to do it. It looks a little like the integra front end. This gives a totally custom look. It is now much easier to see the grill just behind the opening.

1/13/99 - I just created a picture gallery. The gallery is located in the garage. Please visit and let me know of any suggestions or problems you have. The Civic and Integra galleries are not quite up to speed yet. All the photos so far are all off the net.

1/18/99 - I installed the Pilot PL4200 fog lights yesterday and I wired them up today. They look really good, they are the low profile clear style. Soon I will have some pictures of my car and some from my friends cars, a '95 M3, a Civic, and a '95 Accord.

1/31/99 - I've got pictures. Thanks to my friend Brent I finally have pictures of my car to put on my site. THANKS BRENT! You can see more of them on My Accord page. Brent is the one who owns the BMW M3, he is getting pictures of it soon.

2/4/99 -How to install "racing lights" on your Accord.Visit my garage to see how.

3/25/99 - I installed a header on my car! It sure was pain in the rear. Of all the things I have done to my car, this was the hardest. Even putting new springs and shocks on was easier than this. This was only because of the application on my particular model.

10/28/99 - Check all these cool web sites for 3rd gen. Accord owners.    Thanks goes to Mike.

11/18/99 - I added a 'how to' paint the turn signals in the garage. Check it out. I calculated my highway MPG, I get 36 MPG!!! My odometer is at 151K, she sure runs good!

11/29/99 - I linked a new 'how to' (mesh grill), updating links, and I added a new web counter.

12/29/99 - There have been almost 300 hits on this page in this month!! I almost cant believe it! My computer has been in the shop up till now so I have not been able to update my pages or email any one. I ordered an Ingalls camber kit from LightSpeed Racing and tried to install it. They sent me the wrong one! I sent it back after I called them and I should have it shortly. This is not something I am doing all by my self!! I go to a shop called Auto Tech. They do really good work and are really cool. I wish everyone who was in the auto repair business was as honest as they are!! People have tried to rip me off too many times. It really pisses me off....
I also ordered a shifter stabilizer from Summit Racing, and they also sent me the wrong one. It still worked though, all I needed was the torque rod stabilizer bushing. Perfect fit. I ordered the Energy Suspension kit for a 90-97 Integra and I think I got the one for the Civic. I dont care because I have what I need and it works!

1/2/00 - I added the Honda Webring to my page.

1/12/00 - I received the correct front Ingalls kit for my car and installed it today, by my self!!! It was sooo easy and a lot of fun!! I am getting an alignment in two days. The toe is really bad now. I think also that my car wont handle as well because I will only have -0.5 degrees camber on both sides instead of -1.5 degrees. My car used to stick to the ground like glue, even around the turns. We will see what it is like after the alignment.

1/19/00 - Well, I got the alignment. I went to a Honda dealership that also does Performance work. This place has been doing Jackson Racing installs!! I met an Ingalls distributor who recommended I go to this Honda dealership and have Marcello do my alignment.
Tip: Spend the extra money and get your alignments done by a reputable Honda dealership. How do you do this? You just talk to a lot of people. This is how I found out. I used to get my alignments checked at a local tire/brake/battery place. But not anymore!!!!!!!! Not after I saw Marcello do his thing.
Marcello adjusted the rear by shimming the rear upper control arm. Perfect. The rear came to -.2 to -.3 camber. I used to have -1.5 degree camber all four corners. The Ingalls corrected the front to -.3 to -.4 which is perfect. I have never seen anyone do such a meticulous job on an alignment. If you are going to do something, get it done right the first time!
After my alignment I got new Dunlops. I think with these tires and less negative camber my ride is a little softer. Handling is still really good.

2/22/00 - I added some how tos. Check them out in the Garage!!

2/29/00 - Check out the new how to links I found!!! In the garage! I will have pictures soon of my custom Heat Shield that I made last week. It works soo good!

3/7/00 - I have pictures of my HEAT SHIELD! This makes a huge difference in temperature. The temp by the air cleaner is maybe 2 degrees warmer than ambient air. Get the pictures in the garage, and a brief how to.

6/7/00 - I finally was able to turn my front signals into parking lights that run all the time. This looks really good!! Maybe I can get some pics of what it looks like.

6/16/00 - I installed some half clear half red tail lights on Amandas Civic. This looks sooo much better than the orange. I will have pics of that soon too.

10/27/00 - Today I installed new pads in the front for the sencond time in less than 5 months. This is because I had someone tell me to buy Ceramic pads. DO NOT BUY CERAMIC BRAKE PADS. They warped my rotors in less than 6,000 miles!!!! So I turned the rotors, and put on Genuine Honda pads. Dont ever think that all aftermarket parts are better than OEM. The ceramic pads are just too hard, they dont even stop very well to begin with. Just too hard of a compound.

12/29/00 - Today I just orderd new rotors and pads from Summit Racing. My rotors are warped again! I think either the rotors were permanatly damages the first time or the rotors were turned too fast at the machine shop. This time I am getting the Power Stop and Axxis brake pads. I will install them on Friday. Hopfully also I will install the full Jacobs Ignition system and have HP tests before and after the install.
Updated today: Links and the refer me form, they both needed some attention.

1/5/2001 - Happy New Year! Today I installed a Jacobs ICE Pak Ignition system, NGK spark plugs, Axxis Metal Master Pads, and Power Stop rotors. The HP test were run successfully using GTech Pro. The problem is that I took the reading in the morning with the temp at 34 degrees and at about 2:00pm the temp was up to 70 degrees. This 36 degree difference alone will affect HP. So you want to know the HP. Sorry, I dont know the exact weight so I just used a given weight both times. The HP numbers came out about the same, which means that it must make more HP after the installation. Throttle response is much improved and the idle is much smoother. The seat of the pants tells me that torque has also increased significantly. The quality of this kit is very good! Complete hardware and instruction. Soon to come is a vortech fuel pressure regulator, Hypertech Shogun Power Tuner, air fuel mixture guage , and all belts, hoses, and timing belt changed.

INFO:

I bought this car in Oct. of '96. It is not a really fast car, but it is sure fun to drive. It is very reliable and has good gas mileage.

The ride - The handling of this car is excellent, smooth ride, 4 wheel independent suspension. After I installed the Neuspeed springs and Bilstein shocks the handling is much improved. It is much more responsive and, of course, stiffer. The ride is fairly rough due to the Bilstein shocks(they are naturally stiff). I do enjoy it, don't get me wrong!! If you wanted a softer ride just go with GAB or an adjustable shock. I chose Bilstein because they have the best design in the market and will outlast all other shocks. With a stiffer shock I have less of a chance of bottoming out the suspension.

This 4 door "family car" is fairly light compared to the following generations of Accords. Look at these stats I got from SuperStreet:

Curb weight, lbs:
3rd gen. '86-'89............................2,574(Lxi Sedan)

4th gen. '90-'93............................2,923(EX Sedan)

5th gen. '94-'97............................3,075(EX Sedan)

6th gen. '98-'01............................3,230(LX V-6 Sedan)
