Tools and Supplies:
Piece of aluminum(from hardware store)
A relocated battery!!(my battery is in the trunk)
Door trim(from auto store)
Sheet metal cutters
I will only briefly describe what I did. This is because if you look at the pictures you can make it. If you cant, then get someone else to do it. Also, you have to have moved the battery.
To mount the shield I re-used bolts that were used for the battery. First I cut a square, then I just trimmed from there. I left a little on the top to trim because I wanted it to come real close to the hood, to act like a seal. So the top of the shield slants down with the hood.
Once I had it fitted into place I took the door trim and put it on the edges. This protects the metal from cutting other stuff and gives the heat shield a finished look.
